How to export the item list

In Business Central open Items, then use Open in Excel (or Edit in Excel) and save the file. These columns need to be showing: No., Description, Inventory, Unit Cost. For a better estimate also add Lead Time Calculation, Reordering Policy, Reorder Point and Minimum Order Quantity (use Personalise to add the columns first).

How to export the item ledger entries

Open Item Ledger Entries and filter Posting Date to the last 12 to 24 months. If the list is very large, also filter Entry Type to Sale and Consumption. Then use Open in Excel and save. These columns need to be showing: Posting Date, Entry Type, Item No., Quantity. Over about 300,000 rows, export 12 months of Sale and Consumption entries only.
